the difference is
hype is major assets/markets mostly. there isnt the culture of rug pulling each other there bc it doesnt exist
there are no bundled scams like we saw last week, there arent people tattooing stuff on their faces and then not getting paid out, or harming themselves/others
or vc/insiders etc
$HYPE
$hype 11% off todays lows. Potentially forming a higher low market structure wise
the fastest horse, which it has been all year

@LSDinmycoffee Hahaha. I shouldβve said.

So here is a little bit of framework thinking on bitcoin:native
Is the bottom in? Maybe. A great sign of course is one of the most reliable signs of all time. That it stops reacting to negative news. We aren't quite there yet. The downside imo is prob 48k ish. So, nothing real crazy for spot people at this point.
The other aspect to consider is this entire time, its trended down. So we've really yet to see any basing, time capitulation, or accumulation period, or real ranging. We typically see that in crypto for a decent length of time where volatility dies off and we trade in some 2% range that makes everyone want to neck.
The same can be said for the majority of the market.
For alts. You have to keep in mind it's the first cycle that alt coin market didnt make a new all time high. and you also need to keep in mind that the returns you use to see in alts, are now in stocks. 10, 20-50x etc returns. It is a fact, that each cycle has diminished returns in crypto. And this will be a later more detailed post. Which is the same one that i made at the end of the last cycle. You kind of have to ask, how will alts steal the flows from tradfi, ai, energy, robotics, medical. bc thats what they have to do. And a tall order. They have to fight something real, and tangible. Will that happen? idk, and if it did, what would the scale of it be? But we are getting to a point where most things are likely within 20% of a bottom. broadly speaking.
$BTC
@DPGSpurs the other thing is hype has outperformed the entire market for the past year, and its fees have been substantial. in pretty poor conditions. what if the winner keeps winning?
its been a winning strategy. which is the point ive tried to make.
$HYPE
I could find you 10+ big accounts calling for 30's each time it drops and i believe most of them didn't participate in the upside.
I'm personally not saying it cant go down. Im saying the delta in terms of what was deleted the past month was a few % of the supply. And that the revenues, will change significantly which imo caps the downside, but leaves the upside. which is infinite.
priority fees went live this week already 150k per day.
aqav2 in a couple months 500-600k per day
if people think crypto has bottomed, hype benefits bc of the fees going up from perps volume.
$HYPE
One of the main bear cases for hyperliquid:native is "what if BTC dumps"
Well, $BTC has dumped from $126k to $58k
Hype just hit an ath recently. I guess the real question should be, what if crypto bottoms?
The majority of people calling for the 30's didn't participate in it's upside But they sure love chirping about the downside. And I think a lot of that hype no longer exists. It was essentially deleted. Hence the OI at the 50's being fully reset while price ended up $15 higher the first time. Why, bc the spot hype is taken off the books forever.
Can it go that low. of course anything is possible. It's crypto. But I think it's better to be more forward looking in terms of the revenue growth that is coming from circle, priority fees, and in the event crypto does bottom. Like many are calling for. Well it benefits from the volume that follows.
Now, obvious disclaimer is this is more of an investment thesis than a trade thesis.

1st mention
I dont know enough about Oust, or not enough. Tesla is going to be the best at scaling though. Can never fade elon. Figure has the best robots out there imo. And they even were in the whitehouse. big connections there
Bot share issuance is accretive though. its not like they sell and take the money out, it goes on the balance sheet to further new investments
The upside for bot is if these companies end up doing further raises then in theory, it would capture that.
$TSLA
This was probably one of my largest misses. Having the opportunity to invest in Figure series A.
The video is worth a watch. Robotics is attempting to solve for a 59T problem that is labor. And now itβs actually beginning to scale. Its current market cap is around 200B. How early are we? Weβre so early these companies donβt even trade publically yet and the robots donβt exist. Itβs like buying bitcoin at $500 and maybe getting to see it run to 50k.
Thereβs a lot of doubt around them as there is with any new tech. This is going to be incredibly obvious in hindsight. Of course it sound crazy when you say some of these companies are going to be trillion dollar companies.
I really feel you should put 10-20 hours into some research bc over the next decade. This is likely going to be one of the most explosive opportunities of our lives. I will definitely be talking about this more often and the various companies that are rapidly progressing bc itβs actually something I follow and am extremely excited about.

@Mnt_Brry_Crnch Pump has been inconsistent on the fees. Jeff and the team had no vc's. No seed. every thing they have ever done has lead to value accrual for their holders. not even themselves.
Alon, well. thats a diff story
$PUMP
@ryandcrypto every action that is taken on hype, burns hype no matter the action. every action leads to value accrual no matter what you do, including depositing stables. every click is another small burn. no matter the click
$HYPE
@Mnt_Brry_Crnch bc its not the same at all. Apples to oranges.
99% of revenue goes into hype. Pump has big, fat, VC unlocks in a month. So it gets a forward discount
$HYPE$PUMP
So hyperliquid:native has been doing roughly 2m per day in fees from perps, in a bear market.
However there was a change this past week that I haven't really seen covered so much and thats priority fees on orders that went live this week. Priority fees already hit over 150k in a day yesterday. Its not something you or I would use but for mm's/arb
I think it's fair to assume this will be a new mechanism that will likely end up burning 250k per day in hype as it scales further. Linked a tweet that explains it better below. This 250k is on top of what they are already generating and without the 500k+ a day from aqav2 which will begin later in the year. Combined = 750k+ a day of new buys, daily. In any given day, that's not a big deal. It would be like working out and expecting to see results that day. The effects are time based, you see the gains in the price appreciation over a year. Just like building muscle.
Hype continues to find ways to generate more profits, that aren't all tied into crypto. For example, most these fees likely came from the tradfi side for spcx trading in terms of priority fees.

@jellysmithrave @saylor not bearish long term on btc at all. its going to a milli one day. idk when that day is tho

idk, kinda feels like the market keeps telling @saylor he can't keep all 3 $STRC, $MSTR, and $BTC
I read a great post once that it's basically the 3 body problem and it is. It feels like the right move is to euthanize STRC and just go back to buying BTC the old way
all 3 holders have difference incentives and wants, he can't do all 3
$STRC$MSTR$BTC
@saylor @Strategy sir, it's clear you can't keep all 3
STRC, BTC, and MSTR.
One has to go. The market is telling you that. Get rid of STRC, and right the ship, get things back on the right track without the degeneracy

people have been buying the lows for almost a year fwiw. there hasnt been one yet. If I were to really, really invest here again which I will. I'd rather pay the small price of seeing a reclaim from a technical level. then try to knife catch. pay a small price to get in a trend and capture the meat of the move. otherwise, it makes no sense to me. for all i know we could still have time capitulation ahead. if this bases out. (idk)
i think its better to just go where the money is. I for example only traded and shared HYPE this year, and 3 btc trades which luckily were profitable. hype is where the money was in crypto. outside of that. all stocks. i can come right back here without having stayed and make it just as easily without having been raped over and over

$BB + $1 since this post. I have kept the "free shares" and added them to my core position
So far have been able to accumulate 20k free shares on top of the original position without bringing up my original cost basis through buying the recent dips and selling those portions higher.
Original cost basis 5.79
Now 5.8 (with +20k shares)
