@investujem @Pumpfun i want you to think long and hard about why this stats page exists on everyone's profile, & what these metrics could possibly be used for in the future, & why they've been pushing the mobile app so hard recently
im simply taking a trade based on the available information

i like Backpackβs positioning around tokenized stocks on SOL
they took the slower route early, building out the exchange, compliance and regulatory infrastructure before pushing deeper onchain
that foundation matters more as tokenized equities start scaling, especially when users want a tighter connection between onchain assets and the underlying stocks
if tokenized stocks keep gaining traction on SOL, Backpack is one of the platforms iβm watching closely

@ABeautflDeath @cleruchy___ ansem paired tokens & pump paired tokens are good for the underlying coin, there is a lot of volume that happens every week on new coins, a portion of that going to buying lower mcap coins is substantial

imo if they did airdrop at stone bottom of market this coin would already be 2-3x higher, but i understand their hesitation if they're concerned with ppl just insta dumping the coin and they could instead give back cash through callout rewards & creator rewards
they are likely trying to optimize for the token going up the most while keeping core userbase happy, anything else is noise, especially if revenue numbers are consistent
scenario: they make 500M annualized rev right now, they give back ~500M annualized in creator rewards
if they scale the business 5x, then both of these numbers 5x, & that's 2.5B a year given back to creators, + 1.25B a year in buy pressure on the token
& this is not including the ~10M given back to traders through callout rewards in the past 6 weeks, which would also scale with increased mobile app activity, this would compete globally with the largest social media apps rev sharing programs for money given back to app users
so this is probably what they are looking at when deciding to do their airdrop
currently there are markers for streaks, callouts, trading volume, & other things in the mobile app, & i would bet that increased usage there would benefit traders in the future if/when they do an airdrop
most of the anger towards pump comes from traders who are not making money buying the coins launched there, but there is clearly a group of people consistently making money because they have the most consistent revenue numbers of any app in crypto past few years

iβm looking at SOL through a much longer time horizon than current revenue
if crypto keeps moving capital and assets onchain, the L1s that become core infrastructure should be valued around the activity they could support over decades
Solana today only has a small number of applications generating serious revenue
the upside case comes from what happens if that becomes hundreds or thousands of successful businesses built onchain
for me, that future activity matters more than a snapshot of L1 economics today

@TRAPJNR if you cant see why deployers need to be incentivized because the app cannot exist without them, & how 50% of revenues buying+burning the token benefits everyone in the ecosystem, then yes we can agree to disagree
$PUMP
deployers of coins are favored because the app cannot exist without them
multiwalleting will continue as long as its the most profitable way to play the game
you are trading memecoins whose value is derived purely from attention & start at $0, these are the highest risk assets that you can buy, they are not ever going to have a high success rate, would not make sense if they did
pump makes money pre-bond yes, but the majority of creator rewards happen post-bond, deployers are incentivized to successfully launch coins that sustain higher market caps
if it was not good for retention then they would have have made 2B+ in revenue since inception with sustained daily activity for years now
slots are not better, they are entirely random & not skill based, trading onchain is pvp but the upside skew is there & its not easy to be good at it
$PUMP
@TRAPJNR brother, would you go to vlad from robinhood and complain about traders not being profitable trading stocks on their exchange? surely you understand how ridiculous this would be, what you are saying here is the same thing, it's silly
$HOOD$PUMP
it very directly equals users, the people creating the coins are getting paid the most, the people trading the coins are also getting paid now via callout rewards
they are a business that converts sol into cash for revenue yes, they also drive a lot of onchain activity for sol
im not sure what people expect with most of these coins but 99.9% of them are purely attention markets, you would not expect the viral tik tok of the week to be the most popular tik tok a year from now, you should approach most memecoins with the same mindset, 0.01% of them will go very high but creating a product around launching coins doesnt change the lifespan of these coins at all
