yea as an internet addict already who's relatively self aware it seems like a moving train that's going to be hard to stop still not sure what systems you can put in place to prevent these adverse outcomes across the board it's somewhat of a paradox though because you can make an argument that a lot of the innovations in tech past decade or so directly monetize these behaviors: the FAANG complex around social media / consumer ads / doomscrolling makes the most money when people are most addicted to their devices, but these companies have also driven a lot of the returns in the stock market - so even if humans did start to slow down how they consume these products in doing so it would also meaningfully impact the economy, so Q is what is the counterbalance to that happening hopefully AGI results in some breakthroughs that allow us to be more efficient in other ways re: robotics/biotech/etc
